For my hands at least, the comfort of this derby handled cane was a refreshing change from the many others I have encountered over the last 30 years. Handsomely crafted, imvho, and looks as if its shaft is of ebony (actually quite well disguised maple - a very hard, sturdy wood). It feels as if it will be a very special companion for a long while, Lord willing. <br />
(I first purchased this exact cane - made in Germany - in Mayfair/London, but lost it in the crush of an overloaded train car. Fortunately, I found that it was sold in the States as well. It was the only cane that I wanted and for which I looked. God is good …).
